Baker College to honor 1,500-plus graduates June 3, 12 in Flint
Among the graduates are the first students to earn a master's degree in educational effectiveness.

Baker College will honor approximately 1,560 graduates in Flint in June.
The 2016 commencement ceremony for Baker College Online/Center for Graduate Studies will be held 7 p.m., Friday, June 3, at The Whiting, 1241 E. Kearsley St., Flint.
The commencement ceremony for students from the Baker College Flint and Cass City campuses is 1 p.m., Sunday, June 12, at Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center, 3501 Lapeer Road, Flint.

"At Baker College, our focus is firmly fixed on providing the quality education necessary for our students to succeed in their chosen careers," said Wen Hemingway, MBA, CTP, Baker College of Flint president. “As they graduate and move into those careers, we commend them on achieving this milestone.”

The first graduates of the master’s program in educational effectiveness are among the 862-member graduating class of Baker College Online/Center for Graduate Studies. The program offers two concentrations – P-12 or higher education – and is designed to help leaders keep student learning as the first priority while working to meet increased teacher accountability standards in a data-driven educational system.
Baker College campuses in Flint and Cass City
Approximately 700 students will graduate from the Baker College campus in Flint and its satellite campus in Cass City – 37 are from the Cass City campus.
An outstanding student in each of the Flint campus’ career programs will be recognized at the commencement ceremony.
Baker College employees among this year’s graduates are:
- Tina Kattoula, of Grand Blanc, assistant director of academic services – master’s degree in educational effectiveness.
- Jan Bohlen, of Goodrich, admissions development coordinator – master’s degree in educational effectiveness.
- Leslee Whetstone, of Flushing, admissions development coordinator – master’s degree in business administration
- Suzanne Adam, of Davison, admissions development coordinator – master’s degree in business administration.
