A pedometer is a great tool to help you start your fitness routine.

Walking is something everyone can do. You can walk alone, with a friend, in a group, outside, inside, just about anywhere, anytime.

What is great about a pedometer is it measures your steps and motivates you to take more of them. When you get up each morning you can put on your pedometer and you will be inspired to move more throughout the day. Having your pedometer clipped to you will remind you to  start stepping your way to a fitter you. Set a goal for each day until you gradually build-up to 10,000 steps a day.

Great ideas to help you reach those 10,000 steps are such things as:

  • Parking in the back of the parking lot.
  • Walking your kids to school.
  • Starting a walking club in your neighborhood.
