I took this shot yesterday on our beach - it is so sad but there have been no signs of the monarch butterflies at all, even up here where the beaches are loaded with the milkweed plants that they need for their lifecycle. Between the destruction of their habitats for construction and the climate fluctuations we are going to lose these beautiful creatures....
