Denby Wins Re-Election to 47th District
Rep. Cindy Denby (R) defeats challengers to retain her seat as the 47th District State Representative.
Rep. Cindy Denby (R-Hartland) defeated challengers Shawn Lowe Desai (D) and Libertarian candidate James Weeks II to retain her seat in the 47th District.
With 33 precincts reporting, unofficial results show that Denby received 27619 votes. Desai received 13886 and Weeks received 1607.
Denby, first elected to office in 2008, currently serves as the vice-chair of the House Agriculture committee and also is a member of the House Commerce, Insurance, and Oversight Reform, and Ethics committees.
