The Hartland defense gave up six goals in the first game and not only were they motivated by last nights effort, they came in pursuit of equaling that effort. The defense stick checked masterfully and the team caused a lot of turnovers. When East Lansing thought they were bringing it through the midfield, a defender would slow the progress of the ball carrier and someone from behind would knock the ball loose for a turnover.
Seniors, Kayla Hinkle, Caci Pippin, and Jessica Gust provided some masterful defense and kept any threat at bay.
