Learn how to fish with no pressure. All the gear, guides, instruction and good times provided and no license is required as this is Free Fishing Weekend. Three lucky partici-pants will be selected in a drawing to "fish with a semi-pro" in a boat on nearby Portage Lake in September courtesy of Wonderland Marine West. We hear the fish are bitin' good!
No registration required. Just show up! The Rec 101: Intro to Fishing event is FREE, however a Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the park. The Recreation Passport has replaced motor vehicle permits for entry into Michigan state parks and is available when renewing your license tabs at the Secretary of State or at any state park office.
