Saturday Balloonfest Events

Watch the balloons fly in from 6-8 a.m. Saturday, June 25 to compete, opening Michigan Challenge Balloonfest's daily schedule.

The event is located on Howell High Schoo's extensive campus.

Daring balloonists also will thrill the crowds as darkness falls with a Balloon Glow Skydiving Night Show.

Other events include:

  • A basketball tournament from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in the kids' Landing Zone activities area
  • Other Landing Zone activities, designed for kids of all ages, from 9 a.m.-close
  • The arts festival from 10 a.m.-close
  • Offsite, on the courthouse lawn in downtown Howell, enjoy St. Joseph Mercy Livingston's family day events from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Wade Show Carnival from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. in a parking lot located between Highlander Way Middle School and the freshman campus of Howell High School (located near the Grand River and Highlander Way intersection). "One price" tickets are $15 and are good for all rides; free parking is available to carnival customers only.
  • Citizens Insurance fun tent runs from noon-5 p.m.
  • Andersen Skydivers perform at noon, 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • America's Best Frisbee dogs show off their skills at 4 p.m.
  • Assorted highlights include a stunt kite team performing at 1 p.m., dining room entertainment from 1-8:30 p.m., the Dazzling Mills juggling and acrobatics show at 5:30 p.m., and Looking Back performing on the Main Stage at 8 p.m.
  • A Downtown Afterglow event takes place in nearby downtown Howell after the balloon skydiving show.

Unless otherwise stated, all events take part on the Howell High School campus and are free of charge; however, Balloonfest parking is $12/day or $20 for the weekend.
