“I think the girls were very excited and very proud of what they did. This means a lot,” Palmer said. “I know there’s no one on this roster that hasn’t contributed to one or more wins. It’s been a team deal.”
Hartland was down four key players for the Howell game, but the Eagles were able to rely on three players for all its scoring. Kelly Holda finished with a game-high 18, Baliee Maggert added 11, and freshman Mallory Slavin added nine.

Slavin is one of three junior varsity players that moved up to fill in for injured starters.
The Eagles were forced to use a man-to-man defense after their zone was exploited.
Hartland plays its first game in the Kensington Lakes Activities Association playoffs next Tuesday as the No. 1 seed. Palmer said it looks like they’ll be playing Walled Lake Central.
