Hartland Archers Hit Their Mark Again
Hartland archers took home 21 of the 40 individual medals and won all three championship trophies.

The Hartland Archery Teams competed in the 2013 National Archery in the Schools Program State Tournament last week. 32 schools and 683 archers competed for 40 individual medals and 3 championship trophies.

This is Hartland High School’s first “Back-2-Back” Championship in the sport of Archery. They shot a team score of 3423 out of a possible 3600. This is the best the team has ever shot and they beat their rivals from Gaylord Michigan who shot a respectful 3389.
Both younger divisions of Hartland Archery continued to defend their previous state titles as well.

The Middle School Team won their sixth consecutive State Championship and the Elementary School Team won their fifth consecutive State Championship.
This brings the total State Championship count won by Hartland Archery to 13 in the past 6 years.
All of the archers from the Hartland Archery program qualified for the National Tournament in Louisville, KY over Mother’s Day weekend in May.
108 students and their families will be heading down for this event to represent both Michigan and the Hartland School District.
