Hartland Girls 10U Fastpitch Softball Team Finishes Second in Tournament

The Eagles 10U Blue fastpitch softball team took second place in the Millington Softball Classic round-robin tournament on June 25-26.

They were lead by pitchers Brooke Thompson, Deanna Jenkinson, and Anna Kemp. Anna threw 15 strikeouts in six innings to clinch second place. The 10U Blue team is part of the Eagles Fastpitch Softball Club (EFSC) based in Hartland. The club also has four other teams: 10U Gold, 12U, 14U and 16U. The 10U Blue team is coached by John Schiller and Jerry Cowan.

"Our 10U Blue team is made up of first time travel ball players," said Schiller. "Most of our girls qualify as 9 and under, so taking second place was a great accomplishment and confidence booster for these young ladies."
