The Hartland High School Drama Club Thespian Troupe 4213 proudly presents the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! This 1943 classic was the first ever musical written by the iconic duo, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and features memorable songs such as “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’”, “The Farmer and the Cowman”, and “All Er Nuthin’”. The story is centered on the stubborn cowboy Curly McLain (played by HHS junior, Logan Balog) and his romance with farm girl Laurey Williams (played by HHS junior, Arielle Bliznik). Other memorable characters include: the wisecracking Aunt Eller (freshman Matti Digue); the persistent cowboy, Will Parker (junior Brady Spisz); the ditzy and flirtatious Ado Annie (senior Aurora Batton); the clever Persian peddler, Ali Hakim (senior Mason McNutt); and the intimidating farmhand, Jud Fry (senior Trevor Schultz). Opening night is Friday, April 21 at 7:30 PM. Come support the Hartland Drama Club for a night of memorable dances, extraordinary musical numbers, and an overall story that remains iconic to this day.
