Hartland Township Annual Hydrant Flushing Schedule

Hartland Township will be conducting the annual hydrant flushing on the water system from May 14, 2012 through May 24, 2012.  A list of the hydrants to be flushed by day can be found on the May flushing schedule.  

All hydrants on the Township water system are flushed twice a year to flush out any rust that may have settled in the water mains. Residents may expect to see rusty/discolored water during the times that hydrants are flushed in their area.  Residents can run cold water for 10-15 minutes or until the water runs clear. It is recommended that residents do not do laundry when the flushing is occurring in their area. 

If you notice a sustained decrease in pressure or are unable to flush out the discoloration, please contact United Water at (810) 632-9405 or the Township Public Works Director at (810) 632-7498 ext 262.
