Hartland Township Issues Irrigation Ban

Emergency repairs on Thursday to water tower force order.

Hartland Township has issued an irrigation ban effective 9 p.m. Thursday as emergency repairs will be made to the elevated water tower to repair a line split that leads to a pressure gauge, according to Public Works director Shannon Filarecki.

The ban, which is estimated to last 48 hours, is necessary because the water tower will be taken off line during repairs, a news release said. Customers are instructed not to use sprinklers until another notice is issued to lift the ban, the release said.

Filarecki said the damage is not because of recent rain.
