Hugh Jackman Movie With Hartland Connection Opens Friday in Brighton

We already knew that Real Steel filmed at and , and now it appears the Hartland farm has made the final cut, according to a Lansing State Journal review of the movie.
Giegler's is the location for fairgrounds — how very Hartland — in the Hugh Jackman movie that's about robots who instead of boxers fight in the ring. It is one of several Michigan locations that range from the Renaissance Center to the historic Ingham County Courthouse in Mason, the article noted.

Showings are 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:50 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 4:50 p.m., 6:50 p.m., 7:40 p.m., 9:40 p.m. and 10:30 p.m, according to the movie theater's website. Prices are $4.25 before noon, $5 for maintee (noon to 6 p.m.) and $9.25 for evening with discounts for kids, students and seniors.
The newspaper's review is critical of the film, saying that while it's better than Transformers and has "slick special effects and gorgeous cinematography," the movie is " the best-looking forgettable movie you'll likely see this year."
