I struggle with this at some point every summer. I love to knit and crochet, but when temperatures hit the upper 80's, the idea of having a heavy object made of yarn draped over my lap is not appealing. However, I'm one of those people that can't sit still. If I am watching TV or keeping an eye on my kids while they swim, I need something in my hands or I get fidgety. Strange, I know, but that's just me. My solution was to make smaller things, but there are only so many potholder a and dishcloths I can make before my home starts resembling my great grandmother's home. My latest project uses the same concept but will eventually be a much bigger piece; I'm working on a Minecraft Creeper blanket for the playroom. Since the Creeper is pixilated, I'm crocheting small squares in different shades of green to make up most of the blanket and will have black squares for the face (thank you, Pinterest!). It is a great project for taking to the pool, in the car, camping, etc! What do you work on when temps are this high?
