Pills and Money Stolen from Employee's Purse at Adult Paraphernalia Shop

An employee of the Dream Factory in Brighton reported money and other items stolen from her purse by a customer, according to a police report from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say the employee allowed a customer to use the store’s bathroom where the employee kept her purse in the sink. According to the report, the employee does not typically allow customers to use the shop bathroom, but told police the man was “shaking” because he had to use the facilities.

After the customer left the store, police say the employee immediately checked her purse and discovered her wallet missing. The employee then ran outside and observed the suspect getting into the passenger seat of a small, white car.

According to the report, the customer was considered to be a regular in the shop, but the employee did not know the man’s name.

Police say the wallet contained the employee's driver’s license, bank card and more than $1,200 that she said she had been planning to use to buy a new laptop computer after work.

The purse also contained a prescription bottle with six or seven Vicoden pills, which were also reported missing, according to the report.
