The Eagles were down 3-0 until the sixth and seventh innings when they tied it 3-3 before winning in the first extra inning. In the second game, they were up 5-0 for a while and Linden came back to make it 5-4, before Hartland pulled ahead in the sixth inning.

"Defensively, we played better in the second game than in the first game," Hartland head coach Carl Gabrielson. "We weren't making those nitty gritty errors and we stepped up our game, but that always happens in the first of the year - it takes a game to get yourself going."
