Two Area Lacrosse Teams Grab Third Places at Big Midwest Tourney
Shamrocks' U15, U13 squads reach semis at Cherry Bomb in Traverse City.

Two teams from the Shamrocks lacrosse club — U13 and U15 — both finished third in their divisions at the Cherry Bomb Lacrosse Tournament, one of the biggest in the Midwest.
The U13 team also avenged a loss with a 9-4 win over the Ann Arbor Blue Jays, which beat the Hartland squad in a championship game at the Great Lakes Lacrosse Invitational in Kalamazoo in July.
"This was a thrilling victory for the players, coaches and parents," said Greg Light, coach of the U13 team. "Goalie, Hunter Braun, capitalized the win with a goal of his own by shooting from his own goal across the length of the field and through the other goalie's legs. Truly amazing."
