Viewfinder: Disney Formal Waltzes Through Dunham Hills Golf Course

The Dance Project hosts event to teach moves and dress in costume.

More than 100 young people attended Saturday's Disney Formal hosted by The Dance Project at .

The event included a dance, dinner, a free 5-by-7 photo from Pictures By Paul as a memento, a live 12-piece band called the GIG Band, and instruction on how to walktz by national ballroom champions Roger Thaxton and Carie Garrity.

The Dance Project is an area group that organizes themed dances for teens in high school and college age adults. The group's next event — the Passport Dance — is sponsored by the Junior Optimist Club of Brighton High School. The dance will be from 8-11 p.m. April 29 at Scranton Middle School in Brighton. The cost $5.
