UPDATED: Voters Approve Millage Renewal By a Wide Margin
Cyndi Kenrick of Hartland wins school board seat running unopposed, according to unofficial results.

Voters overwhelmingly approved a nonhomestead millage renewal Tuesday in the Hartland School District, according to unofficial election results.
With all precincts reporting, the "yes" vote won with 75 percent of vote (1,962-641), according to results posted by the Livingston County Clerk. The 18 mill tax is for one year and is levied against businesses, vacant land and second homes. It is expected to generate $4.8 million for the district and has been in place since 1995.
"We are grateful to the Hartland community for their support of our schools," Superintendent Janet Sifferman said in an email to Hartland Patch.
