• Supporting nutrition (mininggazette.com) — Families in Houghton and surrounding counties could soon see fresher food and better breastfeeding support at BHK Child Development Board centers, thanks to a new $98,000 grant. BHK plans to overhaul kitchen equipment, expand whole fruits and vegetables, add lactation spaces, and roll out nutrition-focused curriculum across its Head Start locations in Baraga, Houghton, and Keweenaw counties.
