• Gogebic Community College to expand UP advanced manufacturing training (uppermichiganssource.com) — New advanced manufacturing training is coming directly to Iron River through a Gogebic Community College lab at Trident Maritime Systems, funded by a nearly $476,500 state grant. By linking Iron River with GCC's Ironwood Skilled Trades Center, the project aims to cut travel barriers, tailor training to local employers' needs, and strengthen the western U.P. workforce through 2029.
   

• Night of Comedy set Friday at Sol Blu Lounge (ironmountaindailynews.com) — An Iron River musician, Kalee Hernandez, is performing variety music tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sandstone Terrace in Iron Mountain, part of a busy local entertainment lineup. Residents can also choose from comedy at Sol Blu, karaoke, festivals, live bands, and trivia nights across Iron Mountain, Norway, Alpha, Republic, and nearby Wisconsin communities in the coming days.
