• Special team rescues man trapped at the top of a grain elevator near Vicksburg (wtvbam.com) — Kalamazoo's Metro Technical Rescue Team and KDPS helped save a man trapped atop a grain bin on a Portage Road farm near Vicksburg after a 300-pound motor crushed his arm. Specialized high-angle rescue crews from Kalamazoo, Portage, and South Kalamazoo County coordinated to stabilize the machinery, free him, and bring him safely down.
