• Over 640 workers to be laid off in Wayne County (detroitnews.com) — Hundreds of jobs are being cut at Trinity Health's Livonia headquarters, where 557 technology and information services positions will be eliminated in phases from late October through late November. Another 86 workers will lose jobs at Niagara Bottling's Plymouth plant, which is closing at the end of October, affecting production, maintenance, and management roles across western Wayne County.

The Livonia victim, who has serious health issues, says he plans a civil lawsuit after his phone and glasses were destroyed and his hand was injured.
