• Mexican national accused of sexually assaulting woman on Mackinac Island (theblaze.com) — A woman walking alone on Main Street just east of Hoban Street on Mackinac Island was reportedly forced to the ground and sexually assaulted in the early morning of September 16, then treated at the island's medical center. Police quickly identified and arrested a 30‑year‑old Mexican national, now jailed in St. Ignace on a felony charge, with court hearings underway.
