• Ex-judge to lead Macomb conviction integrity unit (milawyersweekly.com) — Macomb County's Conviction Integrity Unit has a new chief, former circuit court judge Mary Chrzanowski, who will oversee reviews of cases where people claim they were wrongfully convicted. The unit, launched in 2022, has already helped exonerate at least one person and secured major federal funding to expand DNA reviews, potentially affecting how justice is delivered in the county.
