• $1B Selfridge Air Base Overhaul Advances With $141M Airfield Award (enr.com) — A nearly $1 billion modernization of Selfridge Air National Guard Base is moving ahead, including a $140.9 million contract for major runway and taxiway work. For Macomb Township residents, related projects like the $27.8 million relocation of William P. Rosso Highway and drainage upgrades will reshape traffic patterns near I-94 and Jefferson and support the base's long-term future in the region.
• MCC reopens renovated Athletics-Expo Center in Warren (macombdaily.com) — Macomb Community College has reopened its renovated Athletics & Expo Center in Warren, giving Macomb County students and visitors upgraded gyms, locker rooms, and a modernized expo hall for graduations, trade shows, and community events. The $16‑million project improves comfort, capacity, and amenities for the Monarchs' nine athletic teams and the many large gatherings hosted there each year.
