• Macomb Twp. man accused of soliciting 14-year-old girl for sex (macombdaily.com) — A Macomb Township physical therapist formerly affiliated with Henry Ford Macomb Hospital is jailed in Texas, accused of online solicitation of a minor after a yearlong undercover operation. Authorities and a child-protection nonprofit say he believed he was communicating with a 14-year-old girl, and he now awaits a Texas grand jury decision on possible indictment.
   

• Michigan communities finish drain project to filter stormwater before it reaches Lake St. Clair (stormwater.com) — Macomb County and Sterling Heights officials have opened a major green infrastructure upgrade that turns more than a mile of industrial drain into a stormwater filtration corridor protecting the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair. The project restores native habitat, adds thousands of trees and plants, improves erosion control, and extends a shared-use path locals can enjoy by November.
