(warrensun.com) — Drivers in Macomb and nearby cities saw E15 gas as low as $3.68 per gallon during the week ending Sept. 19, with one station offering the county's cheapest price. Only six of 354 Macomb County stations carried E15, and average local prices still trailed the rising statewide and national averages driven by refinery issues and global tensions.
   

• Forgotten Harvest targets Macomb County food deserts with new distribution sites (wxyz.com) — Food-insecure families across Macomb County, including those north of 23 Mile, could soon see more nearby food distribution sites as Forgotten Harvest expands its network. The nonprofit is targeting county "food deserts," exploring a new site at Selfridge and adding partners like Conquerors Church in Clinton Township to offer weekly groceries ranging from pantry staples to fresh produce and protein.
   

• Warren man gets 20 years for shooting at cousin, another man (cbsnews.com) — A Macomb County jury's convictions have led to a 20- to 60-year prison sentence for a Warren man who shot his cousin and then led police on a 120 mph chase ending near North River Road. Prosecutor Peter Lucido says the stiff penalties reflect the danger posed to victims, officers, and the wider community by the gunfire and attempted escape.
