Organized by the Macomb ISD and county planners, the weeklong initiative sends over 2,000 students to local plants to highlight well-paying manufacturing careers close to home.

Staying perfect: Lutheran North remains unbeaten with win over Richmond (macombdaily.com) β Lutheran North stayed unbeaten with a dominant 42-14 homecoming win over Richmond in Macomb Township, setting up a huge first-place showdown at Almont next Friday. Quarterback Owen VanderVlucht threw four long touchdown passes and ran for another as the Mustangs' offense and defense controlled the second half to pull away.

Macomb County guardian, businessman indicted in theft case (theoaklandpress.com) β A Macomb County guardian from Clinton Township and a Harper Woods businessman are accused in a federal indictment of stealing about $836,000 from incapacitated wards' estates through embezzlement and fraudulent checks. Prosecutors say the pair used a Fraser-based guardianship agency and a transportation company to divert settlement funds, home-sale proceeds, and other assets, in a case highlighting wider scrutiny of regional probate courts.
