• Judge issues partial bench ruling on Kubick Aviation lawsuit against Marquette County (uppermichiganssource.com) — A judge has ordered the Marquette County Board to formally meet and vote in public if it wants to terminate Kubick Aviation's contract at Sawyer Regional Airport, though he stopped short of finding an Open Meetings Act violation. The ruling is one step in a larger lawsuit alleging fraud and other claims, leaving 13 counts still under review and future hearings yet to be scheduled.

• 'Looking at the genocide': Indigenous community walks for truth and healing in Marquette (myupnow.com) — Residents gathered in Marquette for an Orange Shirt Day walk that traced a route from Grandview Apartments, the former Holy Family Orphanage site, to the Seven Grandfathers sculpture at Spear Dock. Organized by the Marquette Intertribal Community, the event honored Indigenous children forced into boarding schools and gave local descendants space to share stories, confront generational trauma, and focus on healing together.
