• Gibraltar moving forward on data center ordinance as lawsuit pending (thenewsherald.com) — Melvindale has joined Taylor in imposing a moratorium on data centers, giving city officials time to study how these massive facilities could affect neighborhoods, utilities, and health. Nearby Gibraltar is already being sued over a similar issue, and Allen Park residents have loudly opposed a proposed center, so Melvindale residents may soon face their own debates about growth, technology, and local impacts.
