• Millington's Morgan's Place gets $500k for veteran suicide prevention (abc12.com) — A Millington nonprofit, Morgan's Place, has secured a $500,000 federal grant to expand suicide prevention services for veterans across Bay, Genesee, Saginaw and Tuscola counties. The funding, part of a nationwide VA program starting in fiscal 2027, will help the Millington-based rehab campground and healing facility strengthen support for at-risk veterans in Mid-Michigan.
   

• Seifferlein turns in career best at County Press Invite (sanilaccountynews.com) — Millington's cross country team was among 17 schools competing at the large County Press Invitational in North Branch, where runners from across Lapeer, Sanilac and Genesee counties posted standout times. The meet highlighted several personal-best performances, honored a nearly 30-year race tradition, and previewed next year's move to a scenic new course at Bottom Creek Brewery.
