Anchor Bay Teen Cheers For Success

Word on the street is that Lindsay Beltowski is a perfectionist.

The senior varsity cheerleader leads her team with drive, commitment and passion.  She has won individual awards in leadership, strength, academics, facial expressions and flexibility.

“Lindsay is a natural leader not only because of her seniority, but also because of her determination to do well,” said Melissa Westrick, Anchor Bay assistant varsity cheerleading coach.  “She is a perfectionist and is always trying to fix things she or the team may be having trouble with. Once she does learn a routine, she can do it instantly and feels comfortable performing it.

"She is a very dedicated cheerleader and rarely misses a game or practice," Westrick said. "When she is at practice, she is focused on getting what needs to get done to perfect the performance, no matter what kind of day she is having.”

Beltowski also has the personality for the job.

“Lindsay is a very funny individual,” Westrick said. “She can make you laugh with her funny sayings or sarcasm. Lindsay has the best facials on the team, you automatically notice her when she goes out on the floor.”

   The newest song on my iPod is "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga.
2. Who is your favorite teacher at Anchor Bay and why?
   My favorite teacher is Mrs. Battice because she always encourages me to do my best.
3. What are your plans after graduation?
   After graduation I plan to attend Central Michigan University to major in premed.
4. What are your hobbies when you’re not cheering?
   I like playing my French horn, being Miss Chesterfield and hanging out with friends and family.

   Outgoing, carefree, independent.
