We all need a little extra indulging once in a while, so here is an idea for a quick and easy gift for you, or your friends and family
We all need a little extra indulging once in a while. So here is an idea for a quick and easy gift for you or your friends and family.
Everyone--from the artist to the gardener in your life--will appreciate a little extra pampering for their hands and feet. This is so quick and simple, even the kids can help. Here is my favorite hand scrub recipe to rejuvenate your hands or give as a gift:

I small jar with lid
Ribbon & tags if gifting
Directions:
Mix the sugar and olive oil together in a bowl until the mixture becomes pasty. Add the lemon juice or essential oil and mix together. Then just spoon mixture into jar and it's ready to use or give as a gift. Simple yet thoughtful.
I really like to use a hand scrub when I’m crafting, painting, or gardening. It gets rid of all the grit and grime and leaves my hands clean and refreshed. To use, spoon out a small amount and wash and rinse hands as usual. Your hands will be soft, smooth, clean and smelling fantastic when finished.
If you decide to give some handmade hand scrub for friends or family, a nice accessory is a washcloth or dishcloth. (If you're crafty, you can knit or crochet your own or you can purchase a couple of cloths to wrap in or stuff in a basket alongside the scrub.)
I like to crochet and always have a supply of handmade cloths to attach or add to a gift to accessorize it. Knitting or crocheting a cloth takes about 30 minutes using this basic pattern:
Handmade Washcloth or Dishcloth
Directions:
The crochet stitch lingo:
DC = double crochet
SC = single crochet
To start your foundation row: Chain 28.
Row 1: DC in third chain from hook and in each chain across. Chain 1, turn.
Row 2: SC in each stitch across. Chain 3, turn.
Row 3: DC in each stitch across. Chain 1 turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you achieve the desired size. End with row 3.
BY ALTERNATING A SC ROW WITH A DC ROW, YOUR CLOTH WILL HAVE MORE STABILITY.
Whether pampering yourself or a friend, this is quick, easy (to make and on the old pocket book) and I can’t think of a single person who couldn’t use a little pampering today. Can you?
