Chesterfield Medical Spa Promotes Age-Defiance, Relaxation

Noninvasive procedures keep bodies looking young and healthy.

Somewhere in between plastic surgery and rejuvenating lotions, there's an alternative for ageless beauty.

At Ageless Spa Medica Wellness Skin & Laser Center in Chesterfield Township, clients can get noninvasive treatments that are relaxing and rewarding, according to staff.

The most popular noninvasive treatment there comes from a radio-frequency machine designed to target sagging skin on the face, abdomen, arms, buttocks and legs. Less expensive than liposuction, one session can range from $75-125 per area. For lasting results, Ageless Spa aesthetician and manager Janet Schoenherr recommends a series of sessions.

β€œThey call it a lunchtime lift,” she said. β€œThis procedure is lifting and freshening. It really lifts the eyebrows.”

How many treatments does it take to get boast-worthy results? Schoenherr said outcomes vary per person and, while some see results after one session, others benefit from bimonthly visits. She also said that, while the eye area responds best to this procedure, many customers also find it worth paying to improve the appearance of cellulite.

Radio frequency treatments are FDA approved, considered safe for most people and pose no side effects, according to Schoenherr. Prospective clients can schedule a consultation with Ageless Spa Dr. Bhanu Shah who specializes in bio-identical hormones and Botox.

After Radio Frequency treatment, many women choose to buy Ageless Spa Body of Knowledge lotion. An eight-ounce bottle costs $135, but Schoenherr said only a small amount is needed per application.Β

Every new Ageless Spa client receives a complimentary Visia Complexion Analysis Report that analyzes the size, area and intensity of individual skin features. Not only does this machine provide a visual estimate of what your face will look like in five years, but it also grades you among other people in the same age group on amount of blemishes, UV sun damage and other factors that can make complexions less than appealing, according to staff.

"That little machine shows a lot,” Schoenherr said.

Another popular service is a Photofacial, or what Schoenherr refers to as an intense pulse light therapy. Sold individually or as a series, this service targets facial sagging, discoloration and red-and-brown spots caused by conditions like Rosacea and broken capillaries.

β€œIt feels like a rubberband snap, a little startling, but it blurs and softens the reds in your skin,” Schoenherr said.

Many medical spas accept insurance plans for select procedures. Schoenherr advises avoiding certain products and avoiding sun exposure prior to treatments like laser therapy and chemical peels.

β€œBe honest and truthful, let us know if and when you were in the sun and what products you have used," she said. "If we want the best results from a certain procedure, we need to know how you are taking care of your skin.”
