Anchor Bay softball edges Troy in high school softball state quarterfinals, 9-6, advancing to the semifinals Friday in Battle Creek.
The dream postseason continues for the Lady Tars, with a 9-6 victory over Troy in the Division 1 softball quarterfinals Tuesday afternoon at Bishop Foley High School.
Tars standout Bree Crampton paced the squad pitching seven strong innings, while the Anchor Bay offense exploded for nine runs.
The win sets the stage for a semifinals appearance against Southgate Anderson Friday evening at Bailey Park in Battle Creek. The first pitch is slated for 6 p.m.

"I just can't believe it," a jubilant Jenna Stancavage said. "I just can't believe it."
Should the advance to the Division 1 state finals, they would meet up with either Mattwan High or Bay City Western on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
