STALLIONS FLAG BEATS LIVONIA BLUE JAYS,  33-6 When the Stallions Flag Football Team walks onto Tom Holzer Field, the players believe “this is Our House.”  They ventured to Bentley Field this past Saturday and after an incredible defensive showing against the Livonia Blue Jays, it was clear the Flag Team had made themselves feel at home.  If flags were feathers, the Stallions seemed to be grabbing them left and right and plucked the Blue Jays in a 33 to 6 victory.  The team raked in over 40 tackles and limited the Blue Jays to just one touchdown early in the 6th quarter!  One line in particular, consisting of Helner, Schuckel, Prior, Shaffer, Rankin and Cappaert seemed to build a cage that trapped the Blue Jays resulting in turnovers on downs and racked up seventeen tackles alone.  Deak and Couture totaled nine tackles between the two, and Parrinello and Hoffman forced the Blue Jays back for yards that were hard pressed to get in the first place.  Deak didn’t stop on the defensive end.  He was responsible for 2 of the 5
Stallions TD’s, and Pace, Ross and Helner accounted for the remainder.  Along with protecting their Stallions territory, blockers Kamposh, Skiver, Rickard, Shukeireh and Khatiwala, appeared to make the Blue Jays run where the Stallions wanted them to, rather than where the Blue Jays were hoping to go.  But let’s not forget the near 400 yards of offense, including a 45 yard run by Jeremias, a few runs for critical yardage from Stathas, a 13 yard reception by Minghine, and go to’s for Redwine and Jones that tallied up more points for the Stallions.  This team is truly exciting to watch and can be seen at home on Tom Holzer Field versus the Braves of Walled Lake at 9 am on 9/14/13.
