$2,000 Camera Stolen from Car at Wagon Wheel

The following information was provided by the Northville City Police Department.

A 23-year-old Northville resident reported his camera and accessories—worth a total of $2,138—were stolen from his car while it was parked at the Wagon Wheel on the night of Feb. 1, according to a police report.

The man said he arrived at the Wagon Wheel at 11 p.m. and left his Cannon EOS 7D digital camera with extra lenses and other accessories in a camera bag in the back seat of his car, the report said.

He then left the bar at 2 a.m. and drove straight to his parents' house, where he parked the car in the garage and went to sleep. He awoke the next morning and went out to his car to get the camera and discovered it was missing, the report said.

The man told police that he thought he locked the car while it was at the Wagon Wheel, but police were not able to find any sign of forced entry, the report said. The man said it was possible he forgot to lock the car, the report said.

The man was able to provide the police witha receipt and serial number for the camera, so the police have logged it as stolen in the police database, the report said. An alert was also sent to local pawn shop dealers, advising them to keep a look out for the camera, the report said.
