Alleged Hit-and-Run Driver Surrenders to Northville Police

A man accused in a deadly December hit-and-run accident in Northville has turned himself in, exactly two months after the incident, Detroit's WJBK-TV is reporting.
The incident, which killed 25-year-old Joshua Green, who had just stepped into the road on Griswold Street in downtown Northville when he was struck by a sport-utility vehicle, which then fled the scene, the report said.
According to the report, the victim's mother led an effort to try to find the driver responsible for her son's death, passing out more than 500 flyers in the process.

"I was becoming a danger to myself and to others on the road because I was constantly looking for this car," Shirley Green told WJBK-TV.
Police told WJBK-TV that the driver's name has not been released because he hasn't been formally charged, but the case has been turned over to the prosecutor's office, which will then decide which charges he will face.
