Michigan set to open new $383 million psychiatric hospital in Northville • Michigan Advance (michiganadvance.com) — A new $383 million state psychiatric hospital is opening in Northville, bringing 264 beds and expanded inpatient mental health care for both adults and children to the community. Built on the former Hawthorn Center site, the energy-efficient facility adds 54 beds statewide and includes classrooms, therapy spaces, and outdoor-focused design, with patients from Westland's Reuther Hospital moving in later this month.
