Relax and enjoy an afternoon with family and good friends in the Cady Inn. Feast on a delicious assortment of tea sandwiches, delectable scones and decadent desserts along with our signature Cady House Tea served on our finest china. Tea catered by Victoria’s Tea Salon, and followed by a presentation.
Susan Nenadic, teacher, historian, and speaker on 19th century women's health, education, employment, and marriage/intimacy, will discuss facts about the love lives of Victorian women. Were they prepared for the marriage bed? What did they know about birth control, abortion, and female homosexuality? What stigma was attached to women who chose to remain single? All this and more will be presented.
The tea will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 1 – 3:30 p.m. in the Cady Inn at MillRace Historical Village in Northville.
