Baseball Program Hopes to Bring Moving Wall to Northville

A crowd-funding campaign is raising money to bring the small-scale version of "The Wall that Heals" to 6th Annual Armed Forces Day.

A traveling replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC, will be displayed for four days this spring if the Northville High School varsity baseball program can raise enough money.

The Wall includes the names of more than 58,000 American service men and women who lost their lives during the conflict that spanned nearly 20 years before it officially ended on April 30, 1975.

Donations, which had reached $500 by Monday afternoon, will cover the expense to bring the Moving Wall to Northville, as well as pay for accommodations for the veterans who travel with it, according to Bill Flohr, Northville High School Varsity Baseball and Armed Forces Day Committee Member
