Overview: The Bowery has a strong following in Canton. From its expansive menu to its drink specials and weekly entertainment, it is a cozy spot to grab a bite to eat or just hook up with some friends.

Décor: A horseshoe bar is surrounded by high-top tables. In the front third of the bar is a separate area, just a few steps up from the bar. Tables and booths abound, with a juke box not far away. Televisions can be viewed from just about any corner of the bar.

Drinks: A wide selection of domestics and imports are available in bottle and on tap.

Appetizers: All the highlights of any bar menu grace the menu – as well as a few surprises. nacho grande ($8.95), potato skins ($6.50), jalapeno poppers ($6.50) and onion rings ($4.45) are all fan favorites. But there’s more. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more adventurous, try the steak bites ($8.95), the sweet potato fries ($4.50) or the deep fried ravioli ($6.25).

Entrees: Choose from any of their 10 specialty burgers, ranging from $6.50 to $7.25; pizzas start at $13.50, and calzones are $7.50; sandwiches include the house Reuben or French dip ($7.95 each), the chicken fajita wrap ($7.25), steak sandwich ($8.95) or their roast beef and bacon melt ($7.95). A variety of entrees are available, as well. Their New York strip is $14.95, fish and chips and the wet burrito are both $9.95.

Soups and Salads: Chili is $4.25, French onion soup is $4.75 and the soup of the day is $3.95. Numerous entrée salads are available, including the Julienne salad ($7.95), the California chicken salad ($8.95) or the steak Caesar salad ($9.95).

Service: Great food and drink knowledge. With the abundance of regulars, it’s not hard to figure out that they go the extra mile.
