Tips on creating your guest list from a local wedding planner
Trying to decide who to invite and who to leave off your guest list can be one of the most stressful parts about planning a wedding.
You have the parents, family, and closest friends but there are a lot of gray areas to consider – like including a guest your parents want that you may not or a friend your groom would like, but you'd prefer not to be there.
If you run into these problems while making your guest list here are some things to keep in mind:

- Who is Paying for the Wedding? - If it's only you and your groom paying for the wedding, then the guest list should be entirely up to you. If the bride or groom's parents are helping pay then it is a nice gesture to let them invite some of their friends
- The Venue Size - Certain sites can only accommodate up to a certain number of people. So if you have a venue with a limited number of guest make sure to keep that in mind when making your list
- Food - The more guest you have, the more the food is going to cost
- Hurt Feelings - Be honest about not inviting them. (Ex.: you couldn't afford it, the venue wasn't big enough, etc.) Invite them over for drinks and to privately celebrate and catch up.
