Managing Motherhood: Getting Your "Momfidence" On

mom`fidence :  An increase or boost of confidence after becoming a mom.  

OK, so I didn't get the definition from Webster's. I made it up. Coined it, if you will, so don't Google it.

It's something I've noticed evolving in myself and I wonder is any other moms out there have experienced the same thing. It didn't happen right away...In fact, I pretty much spent the first year fretting over all the things that new moms do, from late-night fevers to which diapers to use. I may have even had low mom-esteem (hey, I'm coining again!), who knows. But after I got through the scary early stuff, I started to notice a strength and perseverance developing within me. I began to realize that it was from taking on a huge new role in life and making it through the boot camp of it all with my sanity intact (just barely.)

The dawning of this idea has me wondering if any other moms can attest to this. If you have an opinion or comment on the matter let's hear it. How's your momfidence?
