Northville Solstice Run
Nearly 3,000 people are expected to participate in the Solstice Run on June 25 in downtown Northville.
As I get older, I try and set more goals for myself. One of my goals this summer is running in a 5K. Now, if you know me at all, you will know that I am not a runner. Exercising isn’t even really up there on my list of things to do. But in my efforts to be more active, running seems like one of the most practical things to do.
I am proud to say in the last few months I have been working out more (yea, for in Northville!) And I registered for the Solstice Run on June 25. This event is in downtown Northville and benefits a few different charities, including the Karmanos Institute.
The Solstice Run also sounds like a lot of fun. Many runners start off at and the race ends at . At the finish line, there will be live entertainment such a Hawaiian dancers and four bands. And who could forget the food? Everyone needs lots of yummy luau food and plenty of beverages to refresh themselves after a long run.
