Perform Better in Every Aspect of Your Life
I learned how a relationship fails, but I never learned how to make a relationship thrive. A happy, loving marriage was a foreign concept to me until I met a girl who's parents had one.

What makes the great great? What seperates those who perform at a high level compared to those who don't? Is it genes? Is it luck? Is it a magic pill, like in the movie Limitless? If you wanted to do well or be well, how would you achieve it? Would you study poverty to become rich? Would you study terrorism to be more peaceful? Would you learn more and more about disease and diagnosis to improve your health and perform optimally?
This route doesn't make much sense. Certainly, you could learn what not to do, but you wouldn't necessarily create a clear vision for what you truly want. My parents divorced when I was a child. I learned how a relationship fails, but I never learned how to make a relationship thrive. A happy, loving marriage was a foreign concept to me until I met a girl whose parents had one. From that day forward, I knew exactly what I wanted for my future marriage and what it takes to do exactly that. Does this make sense?
My mentor pointed me in the right direction one day when he said, "Dr. Ryan, if you want to be sucessful, do what sucessful people do. Adapt their beliefs, their attitudes, habits and actions. If you do, there is no doubt that you will be successful." I ask the same question of you. If you wanted to perform at a high level, physically or mentally, or you wanted your children to perform at a high level, do what high performance people do. It really is that simple. Accept this fact without question.

I want to introduce you to Eric Johnson, the young man in the picture with me. Eric is one of the top scorers for the Northville High School's roller hockey team. Parents and friends are amazed at his abilities. Is it luck? Is it genes? I understand he was blessed with two arms and two legs, but Eric has also adopted many beliefs and he has made certain choices that allow him to stay healthy and perform better. He believes in his team. He believes that he can be better with training. He also believes in maintaining his body with chiropractic care to perform at his best. He has an open mind towards anything that can help him naturally. He has adopted the mind and heart of a high performance athlete and a partner in this community. He thanks his parents often, for they are the ones that have modeled this same behavior.
What could you do to perform better and be healthier? Start studying and modeling those who express health, compassion and leadership. Do what high performance people do! Adapt their thoughts and views on life. Have fun, enjoy the ride and don't look back. Remember, You have the gift of life and what you do with that gift is your gift back to humanity.
