Tips For Getting Your Groom Involved

Now that you are engaged and have started to plan your wedding you have probably found out your groom really isn't too interested. Traditionally, the bride takes on most of the responsibilities of planning a wedding.

Here are a few tips to get your groom involved: 

• Have a one-on-one discussion with him

• Make wedding planning fun for him, for example compliment him on things he is doing well
• Create manageable tasks he will be able to handle, such as addressing and mailing invitations 
• Ask him if there is a special area he would like to be responsible for
• Work with your groom's interests. For example, if he enjoys cooking have him plan the menu.
• Have open and honest discussions about your budget 
• Avoid fighting over wedding planning and budgets
