What Type of Meal to Serve at Your Wedding
Tips on deciding what style of meal to serve at your wedding reception.

One of the toughest choices of your wedding can be deciding what kind of food to serve. You want it to be something that all your guest can enjoy. There are five different types of meal receptions to choose from:
*Buffet Style—Buffets can either me a huge hit or a big miss. Some people love not being forced to choose one certain meal and like the variety you can get in a buffet. However, some guests may think this is tacky or feel embarrassed to go up for seconds.
*Sit-Down—This is a more classy, elegant choice for a wedding reception. Guests will appreciate the bride and groom treating them to such service. The problem with this is it can be more expensive than buffet and sometimes you will have guests with food allergies that may not be able to pick one of your choices.

*Family Style—The caterer will bring around the food to each tables on large platters and guests can pick and choose what they like. This a less-formal dinner style but doesn't require your guests to stand in line.
*Cocktail Hour—This has become a more popular option and a great way to cut back on expenses. You still provide alcoholic beverages and some light appetizers, but you are not actually providing a full meal. Great for a late evening wedding, just make sure to let all your guests know ahead of time.

*Brunch Style—Often referred to as a "champagne reception." Standard brunch fare is served. Great for an afternoon reception and also a way to cut back on expenses
